This poetry film includes three original poems written by Kiera Obbard and a series of videos and photos taken by Kiera and her brother, Kevin Obbard, at various locations in Ontario throughout 2023. During that year, their father was undergoing treatment for esophageal cancer. The poems and accompanying media are snapshots in time of the journey through the grief, care, and love experienced during the year.
This poetry film was selected as First Runner-Up (Non-Fiction) in the 2024 CMCS Wall of Fame Film Festival.
pandemicscapes
A combination of landscapes and soundscapes encountered throughout the pandemic, this collection is a reflection on the past, a gentle longing for the future, and a rambling return to what has been important to me during the pandemic. View the full project.
